What does H.W.D.G stand for in our logo?

H.W.D.G, Harry Welsby David Green, also known as Dave, dad, grandad, brother, uncle, friend and legend.

Born in 1939 on the 1st of April, April Fools Day, the perfect day for a mischievous yet cheerful man, but certainly no fool. He had realised that he was a man whom could only work for himself, starting up his niche in the world, his own piano removal company in 1968, with nothing more than a van and small warehouse in London, learning along the way.

Many years passed, with his business thriving, becoming well-known within the piano world engraving his name, reaching legend status, mentoring his family and all employees, in all he had learnt and all the tricks of the trade.  Happiness filled his heart with his daughter by his side taking on all he had built up. Looking upon all he had created, a brandy and cigar in hand, affirming “I did it my way.”

Sadly, in 2007 on the 5th of June, H.W.D.G passed away. Although some may try to erase your significance and forget your spark, we promise at F&M your legacy will forever live on. With every piano moved, we ensure your name is carried on our backs and embedded in our hearts.  Your soul and spirit guides us all. The legend lives on eternally…
